Smallbore Silhouette (.22 Rimfire): RP Closed til 3:30pm

Smallbore .22 LR caliber Silhouette Rifle Match.  Everyone Welcome to participate!! (Spectators will be welcome after the current PHO order is relaxed. )

In Smallbore Silhouette Rifle matches, shooters attempt to shoot steel targets shaped like the silhouettes of chickens, pigs, turkeys and rams off of stands at different distances (40, 60, 77 and 100 metres).  The game is shot  while standing, and focuses on developing marksmanship skills with the same thrill as the duck shooting gallery games at the midway .  To ensure wide accessibility and enjoyment, a “shoot what you got” and supportive attitude is practiced.  Matches are fun, the course of fire is easy, and scoring is simple; but mastery is a life-long challenge.
$10 entry fee.  Pre-registration is not required, but appreciated by email to silhouette@vfgpa.org
New shooters are welcome and are encouraged to arrange for a pre-match orientation session for an introduction to the course of fire and assistance in documenting scope settings for the 4 target distances (40, 60, 77 and 100 meters) – contact Steve at silhouette@vfgpa.org
