About the Event:

All are welcome to see and try out some of the great outdoor sports that are offered by the Victoria Fish and Game Protective Association (VFGPA). Everything we do is on display and many outdoor activities offer participation for the kids. This special community event is also part of the popular BC Family Fishing Weekend and has lots of fishing and education for all to enjoy. We want kids to have lots of fun in a safe and supervised environment so we are opening the gates of our property for all to come on up for free. Our young guests receive a complimentary VFGPA passport and can attend all the activities receiving a participation stamp from each station. Those who complete their passport will receive a certificate from the Victoria Fish and Game Protective Association as a souvenir. This is a new initiative of the Victoria Fish and Game Protective Association that combines two popular events (Victoria's Family Fishing Day and Youth & Family Discovery Day) into one super fun experience. You don't want to miss this!

Angling: VFGPA Family Fishing Day - at Frog Hollow Pond
Learn to fish, Trout fishing from Frog Hollow Pond, Casting Contests, Fly tying Demonstrations, Fisheries and Oceans Display, Fish ID game, Rod and Reel give-aways

Shooting Sports: Youth and Family Discovery Mounted Cowboy Shooting Exhibition, Malahat Marauders Heritage Display, Police Pistol Shooting Demonstrations, Shotgun Demos, Pistol Demos, Rifle Demos, Archery, Knife and Hawk

Other Outdoor Stuff: Conservation, Camping, Metis Society display, BC Hydro Powersmart Youth Team
