Facilities

The Club's facilities on Holker Place at the top of the Malahat has something for everyone. Our best attribute is a forest setting of Douglas fir and Arbutus overlooking Saanich Inlet.

Clubhouse - Our log clubhouse has ample room for meetings, dancing, and relaxing with friends in front of a large fireplace. Meal preparation is easy thanks to a fully-equipped kitchen, while a covered BBQ pit sits just outside. The clubhouse may be rented for private functions by both members and non-members. The clubhouse is wheelchair accessible. Washrooms and showers are also available.

Rangehouse - Located behind the rifle range, the rangehouse is ideal for small meetings and training sessions. It includes locked storage, fireplace, and kitchen.

Shotgun Range - Located in front of the clubhouse, the shotgun range incorporates five trap houses and a skeet layout with a 75" duck tower.

Rifle and Pistol Range - These two ranges are located side-by-side on the mid-level area of the property. The rimfire range has target rails at 25 and 50 yards. The rifle range has eight covered stations with target rails at 25, 50, 100, 200, and 275 yards. Small bore rifle metallic silhouette rails are at 40, 60, 77, and 100 metres.

Multipurpose Range - This range, developed on the south side of the property, is designed to handle multiple handgun activities.

Archery Range - Located below the caretaker's residence and the rifle range, bow shooters have access to both a standard target range and a 1km archery trail walk.

Knife and Hawk Trail - For those who wish to try their hand at throwing a knife or tomahawk, a trail and targets exists below the rifle range.

Frog Hollow - Located near the main entrance, this is the Club's campground. Campsites are situated around a pond where fishing and casting practices may be pursued.

Caretaker - The permanent caretaker's residence is located near the entrance gate and sign-in station, opposite Frog Hollow.

Please note that all members and day pass users must sign in and sign out at the sign-in station near the entrance. Non-members must obtain a day pass (available at the sign-in station or from the caretaker) to ENTER the facilities. Memberships, targets, ear and eye protection and information are also available from the caretaker.

The facilities are OPEN from 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM. Shooting can only take place from 9 AM - Dusk / 9 PM.
